Which NFL Jersey Should I Buy in 2026?

As someone who buys at least one Cheap  NFL jersey almost every season, I’ve learned that the “best” jersey isn’t always the jersey of the best player.

The jersey you’ll actually enjoy wearing for years is usually a combination of player popularity, team success, future value, and personal connection to that player.

If I were buying a jersey in 2026, these would be my top choices.

1. Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)

If you want the safest choice, Josh Allen is probably it.

He’s been one of the NFL’s most popular quarterbacks for several years, and the Bills continue to be legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Why I’d buy it:

  •  Elite quarterback
  •  Consistently competitive team
  •  Jersey won’t look outdated anytime soon
  •  Great home and alternate color options

If you’re buying your first NFL jersey, Allen is hard to beat.

2. Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders)

This is my “future value” pick.

Daniels has quickly become one of the league’s most exciting young quarterbacks. If his development continues, a 2026 jersey could end up being one of those purchases fans brag about years later.

Why I’d buy it:

  • Young franchise quarterback
  •  Massive upside
  •  Rising popularity
  •  More unique than buying a Mahomes jersey

Sometimes buying a jersey early is part of the fun.

 3. Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs)

This is the jersey equivalent of buying blue-chip stock.

Will everyone own one?

Probably.

Will it ever go out of style?

Probably not.

Why I’d buy it:

  •  Future Hall of Famer
  •  Multiple championships
  •  Instantly recognizable
  •  Excellent resale and collector value

If you simply want a jersey that will always be relevant, Mahomes remains one of the safest choices in football.

 4. Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles)

The Eagles have one of the most passionate fan bases in sports.

Hurts jerseys look great, the team is competitive, and Philadelphia merchandise tends to hold popularity for years.

Why I’d buy it:

  • Strong fan culture
  •  Competitive team
  •  Distinctive jersey design
  •  Great for both collectors and casual fans

 5. C.J. Stroud (Houston Texans)

This is the sleeper pick.

The Texans have become one of the most interesting teams in the league, and Stroud has already proven he can play at an elite level.

Why I’d buy it:

  • Young star quarterback
  •  Growing fanbase
  •  Potential long-term franchise icon
  •  Less common than Bills, Chiefs, or Eagles jerseys

My Personal Rule Before Buying Any NFL Jersey

Before I spend money on a jersey, I ask myself three questions:

1. Will this player still be with the team in 3 years?
2. Will I still enjoy wearing this jersey in 5 years?
3. Am I buying because I like the player, or because everyone else is buying it?

If the answer is yes to all three, it’s usually a good purchase.

For me, Josh Allen is the safest pick in 2026.

But if I wanted a jersey that could become iconic later, I’d take Jayden Daniels or C.J. Stroud.
